Most online image tools work by sending your image to a server, processing it there, and sending back the result. This means your images travel across the internet and are temporarily stored on someone else's computer.
ImageLinko works completely differently. When you upload an image, it is read directly by your browser using the JavaScript File API. Compression is performed by the HTML5 Canvas API on your own device. The result is generated as a Blob URL in your browser's memory — never transmitted anywhere.
This approach has several advantages: it is faster (no upload wait time), completely private (nothing leaves your device), works without an internet connection once the page loads, and has no file size limits beyond your device's own memory.
